Oh the swoon An intense emotional honest and functional romance that is full of feels and plenty of hotness This is the sixth book in the uantum series and the long awaited story of Kristian and Aileen – though it can be read as a standalone A gorgeous romance between a hot Hollywood Producer and a struggling single mother this is true fairytale romance with a bit of kink on the side dreamy sighThe uantum group are a bunch of Hollywood hot shots with their own production company – and their own sex club where their private needs are met One by one they are falling and now it’s time for award winning Producer Kristian to claim the woman that he cannot stop thinking about Aileen was introduced earlier in the series She is the best friend of Natalie heroine of books 1 3 and when we met her she was suffering through treatment for breast cancer She is now in recovery from the disease and she and her two children have been embraced by the uantum crew and she is planning on making the move from NYC to LA to take up a job with them and to be closer to the friends she now considers family She is particularly keen to explore her attraction to Kristian knowing that with them both in the same city something is sure to happen between them The scene is set for an epic reunion between the two but Kristian has demons which initially have him keeping his distance There are secrets from his past which continue to haunt him and Aileen knows nothing about his BDSM lifestyle and need for kink She is a temptation he knows he will be unable to resist but he can’t reconcile exposing those parts of himself to her and it has his head in a mess If she is an angel sent straight from heaven I’m the devil himself in comparisonI have to stay away from her and her precious children even if everything inside me calls out for her wishing I could let her fix what’s wrong with me wishing she could be the one to chase away the darkness and fill me with her light But when they do see each other chemistry triumphs over all of those fears and their simmering attraction is finally given the opportunity to blossom as neither of them can resist their strong pull to each other It’s sweet and passionate and so beautifully natural But while Kristian can’t help but fall deeper for Aileen he still holds a piece of himself back scared of hurting her Everything about her is petite and delicate and fragile which is why I can never unleash my inner beast with her I’d break her in half And that just gives Aileen a chance to shine She has faced death and she isn’t willing to put her life on hold any longer and I love that about her She puts herself out there not holding back what she feels what she wants and what she needs and she has no ualms about claiming her man I summon the courage to go for what I want Having cancer has left me less afraid than I used to be I’m painfully aware that life is short and we’ve got to seize the moment especially when the moment is lying in my arms hard and hot and sexy and so tormented “Time wasted is time we never get back I don’t believe in playing games or mincing words” It’s a really great dynamic Two people who are falling for each other so fast and so easily Kristian not allowing himself to go all in but Aileen not allowing him to withdraw from her Their openness with each other is refreshing Kristian’s sweet loyal and protective nature is beautiful to see and Aileen’s honesty and willingness to be everything that Kristian needs and her absolute faith and trust in him is gorgeous I’m not used to refreshing honesty from women I’m far accustomed to games intrigue cat and mouse and hidden agendas With Aileen what you see is what you get and I have a feeling I ain’t seen nothing yet And of course it’s all kinds of hot with Kristian and Aileen’s intense chemistry and Kristian’s kinky lifestyle leading to all sorts of sexiness kinky yes but nothing too extreme But the steamy time is a reflection of their feelings for each other and blends in really well with their developing relationship giving us an all encompassing love story that if full of swoon “You’re making me fall so hard for you that my head is spinning The time I spend with you the I want The I touch you the I crave you I can’t concentrate at work or sleep or do anything but think about you You’re making a hot mess of my life It’s the best feeling I’ve ever experienced Please don’t ever take it away from me I’m not sure I’d survive it” And not only are Kristian and Aileen falling in love but her two young children are deservedly a big part of the story and I loved seeing them develop their own gorgeous relationships with Kristian as they started to come together as a family If I could spend every day for the rest of my life just like this – my arms around my children and his arms around me – I’d never want for anything But Kristian’s demons are dark They are ones he hasn’t exposed to anybody in his life and the secrets weigh heavily upon him And when the inevitable happens Kristian will need to learn to open himself up completely to not only Aileen but his close friends if he is to get through it “Come with me and let’s face this head on so we can get past it and move on with the rest of our lives Hold on to me I’ll never let you go” This is a really sweet story Kristian and Aileen are both great characters and I really enjoyed the way they came together The romance and swoon is gorgeous and the inclusion of the family element with Aileen’s kids is really beautifully done The rest of the uantum crew all feature with a chapter from Flynn thrown into the mix to provide some story progression for him and Natalie and I loved catching up with them allAn easy read with very little angst few surprises and an ending that left me grinning hugely this one is all about the sexy sweetness and I really enjoyed it35 stars An Advanced Review Copy was generously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review

From the moment we were first made aware of Kristian's feelings for Aileen all the way back in Rapturous I was already craving their story and thinking I wonder how that'll play out A single mother of two who's battled and survived breast cancer catching the eye of the handsome Hollywood Producer? Already I was in love with this story before it was even fully written because I just knew that I wanted to see Aileen get her happy ever after and I just knew that Marie wouldn't disappoint in delivering yet another amazing funny sexy and sensual and loveable book And then I read this book And my God I was blown away From the first few chapters I realised right away that it wasn't just Aileen who deserves a happy ever after; in fact out of every character in this series it's Kristian who deserves a HEA the mostAs handsome and outgoing as Kristian is he's a man with a very bad and a very dark past one that no one knows about and one that's shaped him into becoming the man he is today a man who needs control because once upon a time he had no control whatsoever of anything around him But when it comes to Aileen he's powerless powerless to stop these feelings for her that only ever continue to grow the he sees her and even though he tries he just can't stay away from her He can see how pure and beautiful she is and as much as he does want her he doesn't want his darkness from his past to taint her; what he doesn't realise is that one of the reasons Aileen made the big move from New York to LA was because of him and after having battled and survived breast cancer Aileen is now fearless and ready to get what it is she wants and that's KristianThis book was everything Kristian was Whoa He was hot Hot HOT Both in and out of the bedroom he had my heart racing and when it came to learning about his past and everything he had to go through alone? He had my heart breaking And Aileen Well she did everything I was hoping she'd do for him she was there for him she held him tight she fought for him and she never let him go And I'll tell you what she surprised me too for many different reasons; when it came to her discovering about his BDSM I didn't know how she'd react but she left me speechless by how she did react and I've got to say that one scene they had together? In the hotel? After visiting the club? I actually went back and reread that scene because like Kristian it was hot Hot HOT And it's definitely the sexiest scene Marie has written in this uantum Series to dateTold in both their POV's Delirious is a book that from start to finish I was hooked to I truly adored Aileen and I loved how strong a character she is and she and Kristian together were perfect and with the added bonus and cuteness of Logan and Maddie? This book couldn't have been any better than it was We also get a chapter told in Flynn's POV and you guys you GUYS It was just one chapter but by the end of that chapter I was suealing and sighing at what it is I'd just read because OMG It was sexy and cute and had me wanting to go back right there and then and read his and Natalie's stories all over againBut all in all Delirious really was perfect It was both a heart warming and heartbreaking story one that ended so perfectly and with such a sweet happy ending that it's now my favourite book of this series And I'm glad that this isn't going to be the end of the uantum Series because I want Marlowe's story Scratch that I need her story; at the very beginning of this novel she says something that has stuck with me even now after finishing this book and with what it is she said I'm dying to know her story Same with Sebastian And even though we didn't get a lot of Emmett and Leah here I want their books too I just don't want the uantum Series to end yet and I seriously cannot wait for the next book to come

This review was originally posted on Cocktails and BooksThe uantum series is one that I've enjoyed  Each couple brought a little something different into the family that has made up this erotic series  Kristian and Aileen's story has been one that I've looked forward to the most  After everything Aileen had been through she deserved a HEA  And Kristian was the tortured kind of hero that I love  But their romance almost felt rushed and it took away a bit from their overall storyAileen and Kristian have almost the same level of insta love that Flynn and Natalie had  But where that worked for Flynn and Natalie over three books felt rushed in DELIRIOUS  Kristian had a lot of issues  Issues that won't go away because Aileen sat with him in his closet  And given how the book started with his issues of inadeuacy rearing its head on a night he'd been looking forward to I'd expect a little hesitation on Kristian's part and the two of them really needing to work through what happened to Kristian Then there was Aileen's health  They both had significant issues when it came to Aileen's cancer and they looked at those issues differently  I would have expected this to be a major issue that needed to be worked through  Add in the kids and I needed than the 248 pages it took to get through this story  This doesn't mean it wasn't a great readit was  But given the tough subject matter which almost rivaled Natalie's I wanted to feel confident this couple had truly worked through the issues that popped up in order to believe the HEA

This was a nice addition to the seriesSPOILERCan established pedigreed romance authors please stop trying to rewrite Christian Grey's Fifty Shades story I mean in this book the male leading character didn't only have the same subplot of the sordid past with a dead mother and a traumatic childhood but his freaking name was Kristian for God's sake Don't get me wrong this book handled that story much better than Fifty Shades ever did but it's been six years can't we just put this to rest please

nce again I'm jumping into a series after a boatload of books LOL  It took a bit for me to catch on to who was who and who they were with but Kristian and Aileen's story stood by itself and was understandableI liked both characters but their self doubt especially Kristian just about killed me  I get Aileen's reasoningshe's a cancer survivor and a single mom  But his back and forth drove me battyI really liked the friendships shone between the uantum group  Books that show such strong bonds between friends are always a pleasure to read

Firstly I'd like to thank Marie and her team so much for giving me an amazing ARC for Delirious Wow what an honour Obviously I won't be posting any spoilers for this book as it's not released yet but what I can say is your in for a treat I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book I literally couldn't put it down I probably felt every emotion It's so well written Marie has done it again This is book 6 in the uantum novels and I think it's one of my favourites so far I'd recommend you read all of the other books before you read this if you haven't already although it probably can be read as a standalone This book has a HEA it is Aileen and Kristians storyI enjoyed discovering about these characters We first met Aileen early on in the series when her son was in Natalie's class We also discover she's seriously ill with breast cancer and Flynn and Natalie step up to help her and her two children uite uickly her and her children become loved by all of the uantum family Kristian is also part of the family at uantum being an executive producer Both kristian and Aileen have back stories who make them who they are I loved their journey to each other and there remarkable chemistry What I love about this book is it's eually as HOT as the others but it manages to portray a wonderful love story with a tease of BDSMYou'll also enjoy catching up with all the other characters from the series too that's what I love about Marie's books she always keeps us up to date If you need a sexy new romance to read this is it I promise you won't be disappointed However be prepared to finish it in one sitting you'll be hooked from page 1 I can't wait for the next one Who will be next do we think?

The heroine behaved like a love struck fool I felt that I was back in school with the crush that she had going on with the Hero The Hero behaved like a douche IMO it can't be read as a standalone The aspect of BDSM and Hollywood for some reason for me didn't mesh well together

An emotional erotic romance about second chances and the power of love family and friendships With a wonderful cast of supporting characters a captivating movie industry setting a scorching hot leading man and a strong inspirational heroine Delirious was a wonderful read and one I can recommendThis is the first book I have read in this series and while it has most definitely piued my interest in the other characters you can read this as a standalone and not feel like you are missing out on too much Kristian was complex and layered and hiding a secret from his past When it was revealed his controlling nature and lack of trust in relationships made sense I loved that he was eventually able to overcome it for the right woman I also adored how great he was with Aileen's children and those scenes in particular warmed my heartAileen was a true inspiration She was still recovering from her cancer ordeal but she didn't dwell on it and she wasn't whiny and looking for sympathy Instead she got on with her life and she was ballsy after her brush with potential death I really loved her personality She wasn't afraid to tell Kristian how she felt and she was a fantastic motherWhile this is an erotic romance it wasn't as steamy as some of the erotic romances I've read However I had no issue with that It's of an observation The story also had plenty of meat on it's bones ie it wasn't just all about the sxThe supporting characters were fantastic and I'm definitely salivating at the prospect of checking out the earlier books in the series From the details in this book it sounds like each couple has a very interesting background and I'm intriguedThere are a few reasons this isn't a five star read Initially I found it very difficult to get into this story There is a huge amount of inner monologue at the start which then became very repetitive and it wasn't holding my interest However I'm glad I stuck with it as after the first uarter I became hooked and it kept my attention the rest of the way through The other thing that niggled at me a little was how perfect her children were and the underlying insinuation that you are only a good mother if you have raised these model children Apart from a minor strop in the car these children were way too well behaved I would have liked them to act up a little so it was realistic I imagine they were harboring lots of confusing feelings over their mother's illness and the fact a man has come into their lives but it didn't seem to impact them enough Overall though this was a great read and a great introduction for me to his author and this seriesThanks to the author and Inkslinger PR for providing an ARC of this book which I am voluntarily reviewingThis review will appear on my blog on 12th September
