Another great adaptation of Greek mythology by Tammie Painter, set in her post apocalyptic Pacifc Northwest region of Osteria. To be honest, Medea is one of my least favorite characters in ancient Greek literature, but Ms Painter s depiction of the troubled, rage driven woman is muchsympathetic than most As with the first book in the series, THE VOYAGE OF HEROES is a well paced page turner Highly recommended

I received this novel from the author because I enjoyed the first book so much and I gave it a five star rating I would like to thank the author for being so generous. This is the second book of a series and I suggest reading the first book to understand the events of this book Ancient Greece has returned to the modern world Their gods, their heroes, and their way of life is in full force This book is a retelling of the story about Jason and his pursuit of the golden fleece Jason needs to ob I received this novel from the author because I enjoyed the first book so much and I gave it a five star rating I would like to thank the author for being so generous. This is the second book of a series and I suggest reading the first book to understand the events of this book Ancient Greece has returned to the modern world Their gods, their heroes, and their way of life is in full force This book is a retelling of the story about Jason and his pursuit of the golden fleece Jason needs to obtain this artifact to save his realm from invaders The reason behind this invasion is the Greek gods and their behind the scenes games they play that ultimately affect mortals. If you like Greek mythology I strongly recommend this series and this book The author does a wonderful job with her version of the events that make up each heroes story She changes minor details to fit into her story but she essentially follows the storied path In this one she does a terrific job with Jason who changes from the inexperienced son of a ruler to a person who takes charge Greek mythology incorporates heroes that you cheer for and villains that you hate and the author does a terrific job with this aspect I enjoy each challenge the main character has to face to reach his goal The bickering of the gods and the traits each one has adds to the enjoyment of this story The ending was great and the author has set up a scenario that entices me looking forward to the next book in this series.I think the author has carved out a nice series so far and I am enjoying these books Any fan of Greek mythology would enjoy these as we see our favorite gods, heroic adventures and amazing beasts If you like fantasy books or Clash of the Titans movies you will enjoy this book

Blessed to be chosen to receive an ARC, of The Voyage, I can say I was definitely not disappointed Another fun adventure following up the Trials of Hercules Since the legend of Jason and the Argonauts is one of my favorite tales of Greek mythology, I couldn t wait to dive into the story This story as well as the Trials of Hercules, has an uncanny knack of bringing the reader into the story It is always fun to read a chapter from the point of view of that particular character There is plent Blessed to be chosen to receive an ARC, of The Voyage, I can say I was definitely not disappointed Another fun adventure following up the Trials of Hercules Since the legend of Jason and the Argonauts is one of my favorite tales of Greek mythology, I couldn t wait to dive into the story This story as well as the Trials of Hercules, has an uncanny knack of bringing the reader into the story It is always fun to read a chapter from the point of view of that particular character There is plenty of twists and subtle turn of events that make you feel many different emotions Again, if you re a Greek mythology fan, you have to read the first two in this series Also, kudos to Tammie for mentioning Athena s owl not sure if it has any reference to the mechanical owl from the original Clash of the Titans or not

First things first I received an eformat copy of The Voyage through firstreads. Now, to the important part This book is awesome The story kept my attention throughout I studied mythology in college a hundred years ago so I had some understanding of the characters prior to this reading. The interactions of the gods and mortals was inspired Seeing the gods behaving badly was a treat This is not a kids version of Greek Mythology Pretty racy at times but not too graphic A good adult read Not First things first I received an eformat copy of The Voyage through firstreads. Now, to the important part This book is awesome The story kept my attention throughout I studied mythology in college a hundred years ago so I had some understanding of the characters prior to this reading. The interactions of the gods and mortals was inspired Seeing the gods behaving badly was a treat This is not a kids version of Greek Mythology Pretty racy at times but not too graphic A good adult read Not just for the sex, but for the intricate interweaving of story lines and character development As for the next installment in this series, two things One, we re going to needrating stars, andTwo, Is it ready yet I can t wait to read the conclusion to this trilogy

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review I was able to read the first book in the series, The Trails of Hercules and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so when I was given the chance to continue reading about this world I jumped at the chance While reading the first book I knew about the trails that Hercules had to go through so I had somewhat of an idea about the story With this new book I knew next to nothing about Jason and his story so it was a nice surprise I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review I was able to read the first book in the series, The Trails of Hercules and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so when I was given the chance to continue reading about this world I jumped at the chance While reading the first book I knew about the trails that Hercules had to go through so I had somewhat of an idea about the story With this new book I knew next to nothing about Jason and his story so it was a nice surprise to not know anything Although, I did know the story of Medea, so when she was introduced I had a feeling where her character was going sadly I was correct This story like Trials of Hercules kept my attention the entire time, and I did not want to put it down at points to do things like cook dinner, but alas needs must Many of the characters in this story frustrated me to no end, not because of the writing but because they were horrible people A lot of this story went like this I want to achieve a goal this thing so let s bribe manipulate kill this person s so that I can achieve my goal have said thing All the bad things that happened to Jason made me want to give him a big hug, and sometimes just slap him upside the head because his choices lead to some problems as well Hermes was another character that I wanted to hug, and I actually like the character of Hera in this story But overall, the gods just need to keep their noses out of everyone s business because when they interfere bad things happen Overall, I really enjoyed the second book in The Osteria Chronicles series and I cannot wait for the next book to see what else the gods can mess up in the lives of those on earth
